Gutter Guard Installation Photos
Every photo on this page is a real GutterDome installation on a real home — not a rendering and not a stock image. Browse by roof type to see how the gutter guard sits on asphalt shingle, shake and wood, metal, tile and specialty roofing, and how an integrated heat trace cable is run for winter ice.
Asphalt Shingle Roofs
Asphalt shingle is the roof most homes have, and the one most gutter-guard decisions get made on. These photos show finished GutterDome installations across shingle roofs, from close detail of the guard in place to whole-house views that show how it reads from the street.
Metal Roofs
Metal roofing comes in standing seam and corrugated profiles, and each one needs its own approach. These photos show GutterDome installed on both, including the Clynch Channel detail used where the guard meets a standing seam. The result is a clean line along the eave instead of a guard perched on top of the ribs.
Shake & Wood Roofs
Shake and wood roofs have deeper texture and uneven courses, so the guard has to follow the roof rather than fight it. These installations show GutterDome fitted to shake roofing, including the close details that show how it sits against the material.
Tile, Slate & Specialty Roofs
Tile, slate and stone-coated steel are a different install again — heavier, more delicate underfoot, and usually on homes where the owner wants the roof itself to stay visible. These photos show GutterDome fitted on flat tile, Spanish tile, slate, flat roof and stone-coated steel.
Heat Cable & Ice Dams
In a cold climate the enemy isn't leaves, it's ice. These installations show heat cable run along the gutter and roof edge, with the snowmelt to prove it — the setups we recommend for homes that see freeze-thaw cycles, heavy snow loads or ice dams forming at the eave.
See It on Your Own Roof
Every home is different. The right setup for yours depends on your roof, your tree cover and your winters — so the honest answer is that it depends on the house.
